What immunizations might I need to visit sub-Saharan, Africa? I have heard that Malaria is still a problem in some places.

Malaria is definitely a concern if traveling to Africa - is there actually an immunization for Malaria? I would visit your GP to see what their recommendation is for vaccines prior to visiting.

I am not sure about Malaria vaccination, but I have read than when you enter Africa you are required to present a yellow fever vaccination certificate.

so you have to get a yellow fever vaccination before you go? I guess that makes sence.
