Default Pisa and Rome

I was lucky enought to visit Italy on my European honeymoon and it is by far the most beautiful place I have ever been. It comes highly recommended. We took a guided tour of the leaning tower and the Vatican City, which I would also strongly advise doing, that way you get to learn about the building, the architecture and the history.

Has anyone else been to Italy?

I almost went to Italy earlier this year, with my girlfriends family. I think the plan was somewhere in the southern part of Italy but I'm not sure. For some reason those plans were scrapped and we went to Poland instead. Not quite as beautiful I think

You really must go, its a shame your travel plans were changed melka.

I love Italian food and I am so pleased with myself that I can say I have eaten Italian food, in an Itaqlian resturant in Rome!!!

Yeah, who doesn't love Italian food? I'm sure pizza tastes a lot different in Italy, vs other parts of the world..

Our daughter actually won a trip to Italy from a local radio station! Of course she saved and spent a lot of her own money there too, but for the most part it was paid...such a lucky girl!! LOL! She took the Vatican tour too, but she was miserable because she didn't wear good shoes for walking. She wanted to be stylish instead of comfy, but I guess that's how you learn! So, for those of you traveling to Rome and taking tours like that...make sure you wear comfy shoes!! It was one of the highlights of her life to go there and she'll remember it forever.

I have lived in Italy for most of my childhood. If you plan a next trip I would highly suggest going to some of the less popular sights but yet full of promises. Go to Capri or the Italian Rivera See the cinque terre aka the 5 lands composed of Riomaggiore, Corniglia, Manarola, Monterosso and Vernazza. These small towns are amazing, and give a different view of Italy versus the most popular and crowded touristic attractions.
