Default Travel for Christmas?

Does anyone travel at all for Thanksgiving/Christmas? We always go to the east coast to visit with family, and it usually ends up taking us a month to drive and visit with everyone until it's all said and done What do you do for the holidays??

I generally avoid traveling during peak seasons. Hating the cold weather though I would certainly love traveling towards some nice warm sandy beach somewhere.

We prefer staying in town during festive season, as we find it a better option.Otherwise most of the places are filled to brim, we party and holiday at our place in our town only.

This year I'm taking the family to Disneyland during the second week in December. My wife is excited to see the candlelight processional and the kids are just plain excited to go ride the rides and see the fireworks. Other than that, we typically don't go anywhere for the holidays.

I usually enjoy sitting at home with my hubby, eating crock pot chicken stoup with fresh baked bread.

I can't imagine having to travel away from that comfort zone!

We usually stay home and have the kids and grandkids all over here for holidays. My hubby always says that he'd like to take one year off though and go somewhere else for Christmas...but oh, I would miss my grandbabies!!!

It's funny, I live by the beach and I am usually travelling to cold places when I should be staying here!!

We have not traveled for exactly the Christmas day, but we went to Branson, Missouri around Christmas once. Talk about a ghost town!! There was nothing and nobody there. Good thing we traveled to see a friend, not the town.

We usually go back home for christmas to be with family, but this year there is no way. England is just far too cold and hectic, plus the price of the flights is just crazy. We will be staying home this year.

It depends. Sometimes I prefer spending my christmas at home.
