Default First aid kit- a must.

The last weekend we were out on a holiday, I make it sure that I carry along the basic medication for the whole family. This time I missed out that box.I tell you we had a tough time when my son had an acute toothache at odd hrs of night.I regretted my mistake.First aid kit is a must carry whenever you are on a vacation.

Amen to that, sanju. My wife is the one who always remembers this stuff. With the allergies and other ailments that we have as a family, she always has our medication ready. If we fly, she carries all of the meds with her just in case anyone needs them. If you pack meds in your luggage, make sure you keep them near the top so they are easy to find.

I do the same. Infant pain relief, plasters, a small bottle of savlon, cotton wool, adult paracetamol and something for upset tummies - all a must have.

What is savlon?

I also throw in a broad-spectrum antibiotic from the doctor in my case - never know when you might need it. Also, never forget the butterfly bandages!!

Definitely. I always make sure I have all the basics when I travel. I keep a small kit in my purse, in fact. I just think you can't count of things happening conveniently, so you have to be prepared.

Oh yeah...I never know when I'll be slammed with an allergic reaction to something strange so I always bring allergy meds and such. Tylenol and ibuprophen, stuff like that. You just never know.

Very wise. My purse looks already like a portable phamacy. Not only when I travel but even when I head out anywhere . I always have my pepto bismol, aspirin, ginger candy for nausea, bandages along. When I travel the list gets even bigger, Benadryl, gauze, oral gel, pain relievers are a must!
