Default Farthest you've been from home?

What is the farthest you have traveled from home? For me, it has been around 8,000 miles when I went to Europe. Flying across the ocean adds miles fast.

From Arizona to Sicily, Italy. It takes all an average of 15-17 hours, very long!
My parents live there so I have to go every year sometime. I am not sure of the mileage but calculate that from Arizona to JFK it takes 5 hours, then from JFK to Rome it takes 9 hours and from Rome to Sicily about 1 hour.

My friend went to China from Philly and she told me the flight was 17 hours long! Wow I cannot imagine myself in a plane for so much time!

LA to Spain would be the furthest. For some reason though you always seem farther from home when you are driving though, so I would say my drive from San Diego to Philly was actually the farthest I have been from home!

Yes, I know! My travels to Europe seem shorter than some driving trips we take here in the US. I guess it has something to do with planes... Time flows differently in them!

I'm not sure exactly how far away it was, but I was in England for the longest time, and that was a 12 hour difference so I'm guessing that was the farthest I've been from home.

Down under. I loved it in Australia. Would have liked to have stayed longer and explored more. It was quite the experience.

The farthest I've ever been from home is Utah to Kobe, Japan which is about 5500 miles. It was a really long flight but once I reached my destination, it was great.
