We hear about it all the time, so has your luggage ever been lost or damaged?
I've had an luggage lost one time in Los Angeles. The airline delivered it to my hotel room very late the evening I checked in. In Vegas one time, the shuttle driver unloaded the wrong bag and took off before I could stop him. Took until the next morning to get it straightened out. And they did ruin a piece of luggage one time by sloppy handling. They gave me some voucher that was useless. I wasn't a happy camper.

Never actually lost it, but one time in Dublin we couldn't find our luggage. We waited, and when everyone else there had gotten their luggage we started walking towards the customer service. And just as we start to walk we spot our bags among luggage from a completely different flight. Don't know how they got there, but we were pretty happy it worked out OK.

I have been separated from my luggage before, but it has never actually been lost. The worst time was a flight back to Cali from Philadelphia, during which our main suitcase was misplaced, containing all of our Christmas gifts. It was eventually sent to us, and dropped off at our home, along with some free travel vouchers for our next trip.
