Default Luggae

Are you willing to spend a lot of money on luggage in hopes that it will totally protect your belongings or do you just buy whatever is available or on sale at the time?

it's a little bit of both, no?
you try to buy very good luggage, when it is on sale!

I just care to buy luggage that lasts. I did buy a few cheap ones that broke mid way on trips. I spend a bit more to avoid the inconvenience of this happening rather than to protect my belongings. By the way, my belongings on route are not worth that much...

We also try not to pack too much.
My wife is still working on that...

She seems to always pack a little more than we need.
Or maybe she is being responsible.

She's the organized one in the family

I think it depends on the things that I am bringing with me, if they are valuable things then I would probably spend a lot of money on them.

Luggage seems to keep evolving, and what I've used has changed with the years. Nowadays, the answer is the least amount of luggage I can. It's getting a little pricey to take luggage with you.

I try to take one smallish bag with one of those pop out handles and I can pull it along. It's mid range on price I suppose. I just want something I can depend on to not fall apart.

having lots of luggage with you can also create customs problems
also, your luggage can get lost easily.

I only have one large piece of luggage, that I refuse to take unless I plan on being somewhere more than 2 weeks. Because I only purchased on piece I did spend a lot on it to ensure it would stand the test of time.
