Missionary Trips, Anyone?

Have you ever been on a missionary trip?
I wouldn't put this kind of trip in the same category as a vacation

but it is traveling.

Any experiences worth sharing?

I have never been to a missionary trip before. I am not that kind of person who is into missionary trips.
