Default Carry-On Bag

What do you usually put in your carry-on?
With the new security measures, it is hard to even figure out what you can anc cannot have on board.

I usually try to only travel with a carry-on, so I put all of my essentials in there. Any liquid less than 4 oz is ok, and obviously avoid the weapons like nail clippers and razors, and you should be fine.

and now I don't think they will allow ANY liquid whatsoever.

a few months back, we were traveling to Atlanta. A local flight.

they took away our toothpaste, my hair jell, mouthwash.

I take valuable things that I would not want to risk losing - money, documents. If I am bringing a box of chocolates as a gift, I will take it in my carry-on as well.

If I bring chocolate in my carry-on as a gift, the gift recipient will NEVER get it....

I carry my documents in a little pouch around my waist
I don't want those away from me at any point during the trip

I usually travel light, my cary-on bag only contains travel documents and some personal essentials. Liquids are a no ... no... and pointed objects as well. My manicure set I keep them in the luggage

that's a good point... manicure sets... not that I used them, I am a guy.

But they will take that from you.
