Shoes Off Still?

Are they still asking people to take off their shoes at airport checkouts?

When I flew to atlanta last month I had to take my shoes off. NOw i have read in the paper that our big airport "Tampa international " is going to have that new xray thing. I`m hoping it`s a voluntary thing. I don`t want someone seeing me naked! I think thats going to far.

In our country that shoes off issue is not applicable.

It is still being implemented at our airport check-out. I think that's no big deal, its for everyone's safety anyway.
