Smile Turkey

I went to turkey one year ago. I visited both the Asian and the European sides. I can't say much about the hotel situation since I stayed with my husband's family. Istanbul had many historical sites. My favorite site was Topkapi Palace. If you want to see the first Quran and all of the Islamic artifacts concerning Prophet Mohammad and his sahabah, you should visit during Ramadan. This year Ramadan should start the 2nd of September.

Here is a little video for Istanbul: http://www.tourismturkey.org/VideosS...g1=vid&bg2=vid

I would love to hear some of your favorite places to visit. I am planning on going back within the next 6 months.

Best wishes,
Yasmine

My sis stayed there for two years, her husband had a posting there. They were putting up in Istanbul and were very fond of that place. Is it nice to visit that place as tourist during Ramadan, as there are so many restrictions during that period or things are comfortable for the outsiders?
