No matter where or go or how many years pass, my favorite beach memory is when I was on Maui. It was late at night. I was just sitting on the beach, taking in the atmosphere. Out in the distance was a cruise ship, anchored for the night. Filtering through the air was some lovely Hawaiian music. There was a nice breeze, and it was just so tranquil and serene. I didn't want to go to my hotel room that night. It was like heaven.

When I was a kid I loved going to the Old Santa Cruz Beach boardwalk and beach area. The roller coaster on that boardwalk was one of the best wooden coasters I've ever been on!! I have such fond memories of the carousel too that was there. It was the kind that you could try to grab the ring while you're going around and toss it into a clown's mouth, and if you made it, you got a free ride! My dad was soooo good at grabbing that ring and making it that he and I could have ridden all day long!! The beach was fantastic to me as I can't remember it being crowded or anything...just that my space with my bucket and sand was so perfect! The dock scared me though...my dad would have to carry me out on that thing because I just thought for sure I was going to fall through. We'd go see all the fish people were catching and stuff. Ahhh...thanks for this question! It was an awesome trip down memory lane!!
