Default Long Beach hotel Queen Mary

Not many people are aware of hotel Queen Mary in Long beach Ca. It was an old ship that was converted into a hotel. It has a rich history and it is a great place to stay if you are looking outside the box and for new hotel ideas.

My dad is particulary fond of ships and I did not tell him about the Queen Mary until we were right in front of it. It was a great surprise. Disneyland is also about 30 minutes away and Hollywood is close as well.

They even have their own website:
http://www.queenmary.com/

Doesn't look horribly expensive, as I'd imagined it would be.

The Queen Mary is also notoriously haunted! I'd love to make it there and stay a few nights!!

They have paranormal tours as they say about 49 people died there. I did not take the tour but I did have the courage to wander around on my own at night. I do confess there was a big room with paintings that gave me chills.

I heard they hold some special haunted tours for Halloween.

Yep, I've taken the tour a couple of times, and they always talk about the Queen Mary being haunted and such. They've had TV documentaries on it, too.

What a neat idea to turn an old ship into a hotel! I know I would love it there. Do they have historical references / tours? A ship like Queen Mary has to have fascinating history.

Yes, they do hold a tour which is usually included with your stay. I would double check upon booking. I saw the tour when I was there and they were showing all the antiques and talking about the history of the ship.
