Stay away from the Australian deserts

I mean, sure, Australia is sunny. But rememeber, there's good sunny, and bad sunny. The Outback is bad sunny, stick to the gorgeous beaches.

If someone wants to explore the outback, what would be the best way to do it?

I would say get a good guide who knows what he/she is talking about and can take you safely into some interesting areas.

I have heard that sun is very strong in the Australian deserts and people do get sunburnt very badly. So what are the precautions one can take before getting into that place?

One of the main draws for me to go to Australia would be to discover everything the Outback had to offer - including the deserts. I am sure that with planning and/or a guide you would be fine - just make sure to stay hydrated and aware of your surroundings.
