Long flights

What are some of the things you do to pass the time when you are on a long flight? Let's define long as 5+ hours.

I usually try not to sleep the night before

I can sleep through most of the flight that way.

I make sure to let the attendants know that I want to be awaken at meal time!!!

I have been on 10+ hour flights. Usually, there are movies, music, and even computer games available during such flights. I also bring a book or a magazine with. Crossword puzzles help, too, if you are into those.

I would also fill up my iPod with new things.

If you bring your laptop along, you can spend hours working on new web page designs. That'll keep me busy for hours without even noticing.

Maybe listening to music or watching videos in an ipod would take all the boredom away. I also like to read books.

I sleep easily on the plane, so I do that as much as possible to make those long trips go quickly. Otherwise, I might do some crossword puzzles or read a magazine. Mostly, I just think.

if you sit next to a decent person, it is fund to engage in conversation also
sometimes it is a bad idea though... "it's like a box of chocolates. you never know what you're gonna get"
