Default Choice of rooms.

When we get the hotel booking done online, how can we ensure that we get well placed rooms with better view and all. We have been assured by the person there but what if we find the rooms not upto our suitability? It is going to be peak season so there no chance of alternative arrangement.

when you make your reservation, you can request whatever options you need.
mistakes do occur though.
last month we reserved a double bed room, and got a room with a king size.

oh well

I am not very particular about rooms. As long as it is nice and clean then I would not worry at all.

You just need to make your requests known. Most decent hotels will do their best to accommodate you. Of course, some thing may require rate adjustments too. Make sure your confirmation includes your special requests and if not, call back to confirm.

most hotels will try to accommodate visitors
sometimes though, if they are booked, they will not be able to change your room.

Mistakes do happen, and tricky accomodations when you ask for a room with the ocean view, for example, and you do get to see the ocean but only a small part of it from an inconvenient angle. I suppose you can complain, and good hotels will try to help; cheaper ones probably won't.

I agree. If it is a small hotel, the workers there are probably not going to care too much. If it is a large hotel chain, you have better chances of being accommodated.

The management makes the entire difference, but of course, there are also exceptions.
