Of course while in Barbados you’ll want to visit some of the island’s world famous beaches but there is also much more you will want to add to your itinerary! Explore those same sandy beaches by getting up close and personal with the waters and the life within them but also be sure to make time for the wonderful art, museums, and history that Barbados has to offer.

Trafalgar Square is just like the other famous square in Europe and promises to enrich your Barbados trip in just the same way. Here is a monument in remembrance of Horatio Nelson and you can also check out the local catamarans and other boats in the Careenage Harbor, which is opened up off of Trafalgar Square in Bridgetown. While you’re in the area of Bridgetown, you may also want to visit St. Michael’s Cathedral. Not only is this a beautiful church but it’s also said that this is where George Washington would once come to worship.

While you’re in Barbados, you also want to make sure that you experience nature first-hand and take a swim with the sea turtles. This can be done by booking a tour and allowing a tour guide to enter the water with you as you swim side-by-side these magnificent creatures. They’ll be busy trying to catch the food that the guide offers them and you’ll be busy gazing at these animals in simple wonder. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! For more Bahaman wildlife, you may also want to schedule a pit stop at the Barbados Wildlife Reserve. This is an area dedicated to preserving the island’s wildlife and making it a better and safer home for all animals that call the area home.

One of the most popular attractions in Barbados is Harrison’s Cave and it is here that you will be taken through to see some wonderful sites such as the Great Hall, which is a fifty foot high cavern and a waterfall that is forty feet tall! You can also see a lot of how the world operates underground and that includes the numerous lakes and rivers that can be found within the cave! These are obviously just a few of the sites and tourist hot spots that can be observed, experienced, and participated in by visitors and guests of this beautiful country. It'll be hard to fit everything into one vacation!
