The United States of America is the world's third largest country, making it a literal mecca for prospective tourists, and the opportunities for vacations are massive in number. With almost 2,500 natural or historical landmarks, not to mention three coastlines, chains of tropical islands, and so many more attractions, it's the perfect country to spend a vacation in. Plus, regardless of where you're from, there's cuisine for every taste. Because America is believed to be the most ethnically diverse country in the world, there's something for every culture. Every year, millions of people visit numerous major attractions in the United States, such as the island chain Hawaii, Times Square in New York City, Disney World in Florida, or Sea World in San Diego, California - and those are just a few of the top visited places this year.

On the west coast there's California, which boasts hundreds of attractions for tourists, such as its zoos, amusement parks, Hollywood, and Universal City/Universal Studios. Imagine lounging on a beach in California and seeing your favorite celebrity! But California is also famous for its wine culture, which visitors can find further north from all the noise of the cities to the south.

Off the continent there's Hawaii, also part of the United States, despite not actually being attached to it. In Hawaii you can hike through the island's jungles, view rare wildlife, enjoy the site of tropical flora, eat delicious Hawaiian food, and of course learn to dance in a grass skirt on the beach! And then of course the main attraction is Hawaii's beautiful beaches, the most popular of which is Waikiki on the island Oahu, part of the Hawaii island chain.

To the east there are the mountains, for ecotourists who love to hike and see nature in full bloom; the Great Smoky Mountains National Park stretched out across both Cherokee, North Carolina and Knoxville, Tennessee is sure to please. In the southeast, there's the state of Florida, famous for its cities Orlando and Tampa where you can find Disney World, Sea World, Universal Orlando, among many others. However, to escape from the crowds that the amusement parks draw in, take a drive along Florida's best kept secret; the long interstate highway called Alligator Alley.

In the southwest, in areas like Western Texas, and Southern Nevada, you can get a taste of Mexican American culture. This means great food, festivals, and friendly people to meet and have fun with. Or you can make Nevada part of your main trip, and spend all your time in Las Vegas! Las Vegas is not just a casino wonderland; you can also see magic shows, concerts, theatre, sit in a luxury hotel, party at the nightclubs and much more! The opportunities to amuse yourself and your family or spouse in the USA are limitless.
